Hi there! I know it's important to feel comfortable and connected when seeking out a therapist to work with, so I wanted to take a chance to let you know a little about myself. I grew up in a small town in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I realized from an early age that I was fascinated by people and their relationships with one another, and was always that person my friends came to for help. I've lived a little bit of everywhere and have really appreciated the opportunities it has given me to experience many different things. I finally settled in Lafayette, IN at the beginning of 2012. I've really loved the great people and friendships I've been able to developed since being here. I really enjoy being creative, reading, traveling, and being outdoors.
I received by Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies in 2008 from Minnesota State University. I then decide to pursue a Master's of Education in Counseling, Family & Human Services. I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2010 with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy, and have been working clinically since 2009. I opened my own private practice in October of 2014, and am really excited to be in this place in my career.
Throughout my experience I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients including work with individuals, couples, and families. My career has also allowed me to work with a variety of presenting issues including family dynamics, and couples/marital issues, experiences of adolescence, life cycle transitions, LGBT issues, depression, anxiety, self harm, and post traumatic stress.
